The Thornton’s headboard stands 54 inches as standard, with 60 and 70 inch options — well above the 100 to 120cm most budget frames stop at — and upholsters the whole thing in soft teddy fur. Height is the cheapest way to make a bedroom feel finished, and it is the first thing manufacturers cut to hit a price. We do not. The frame stands on slim chrome feet that keep the mass off the floor, and the headboard comes in three heights to suit your room. Hand-built to order in our West Yorkshire workshop, in six bouclé colours.
